Working in Ald. Volini's service office

Elected officials have no way of knowing everything that goes on in their offices. Their staff handles constituent services and deals with all sorts of odd and peculiar happenings.

While working for 48th Ward Alderman Marion Volini, I talked to a man who claimed law enforcement officials had implanted a microphone in his skull and were talking to him while they tracked his movements.

Another insisted we help her secure government assistance for an alias she had created despite having already collected payment using her real name.

Yet another wanted an air conditioning unit removed from the roof of a neighboring building because it was too noisy. We inspected it and didn’t hear any noise.

I dealt with a lot of other unusual situations. They’re included in “An Inside Job: A Frank Recollection of 48th Ward Happenings” at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/992452
