Rep. Brady ran an errand

State Representative Michael Brady endorsed his friend, Marion Kennedy Volini, in her Independent campaign for 48th Ward Alderman in 1978, despite his being a part of the political Machine that was opposing her.

On election night, he hunkered down at Volini HQ and asked a campaign leader what he could do to help.

The guy said, “Can you go down to the corner and pick up a newspaper for us?”

So, he did.
